For those who are not sure how, this video discusses how to oil brass instrument valves. We are using a trumpet here, but this applies to all valved brass instruments.
There are many brands and varieties of oils out there. Don't be afraid to experiment to get the best results. Just remember to clean out the valves so the oils don't react with one another. Yet, some players will mix oils for their desired results.
